ISP Commercial Enforcement conducts specialized patrol

(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) – The Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVED) conducted a patrol last week to intercept bad actors exploiting commercial transit routes.
Operation Guardian took place from October 26-28 and CVED officials targeted secondary and bypass routes to eliminate avenues criminals typically use to evade high-level enforcement activities on major interstate corridors.
It resulted in 28 arrests and the seizure of 124 pounds of marijuana, 6 grams of meth, 1.3 grams of fentanyl and 4.5 grams of other illegal drugs.
There were 501 inspections, with several violations issued as well.
Operation Guardian was part of a multi-state enforcement campaign that was coordinated with 15 other states.
