IU softball joins 'state spirit showdown' ahead of Greensburg's state final game

Indiana University's Melina Wilkison is a Greensburg grad

(CLEMSON, SC) – The well wishes are pouring in for the Greensburg Lady Pirates ahead of the state title game. 

Local schools, businesses, city leaders and others have joined in the ‘state spirit showdown’ trend. 

The online trend was started by St. Mary’s Catholic School in Greensburg and people are encouraged to nominate others to participate. 

The 812’s Ellie Acra got involved and she challenged Greensburg grad Melina Wilkison.

Wilkison is an IU softball player and her teammates even got involved! 

The Hoosiers are getting ready to play in a tournament at Clemson University in South Carolina this weekend.
