(MADISON, Ind.) – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department continued an Easter tradition at the jail on Sunday.
Each inmate received a box of Girl Scout cookies in an effort to deliver a small reminder of hope and compassion.
“A simple token meant to show that even behind bars, they are not forgotten,” the department said.
They added, “We are grateful to all who help make these efforts possible and proud to carry on traditions that strengthen humanity within our facility.”
