Jennings Co. investigators hoping to solve 2021 fatal hit-and-run crash

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office is hoping to find new leads in regard to a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened four years ago. 

21-year-old Joe Gill was struck and killed while walking along State Road 3 near the Decatur County line on September 30, 2021. 

Detectives conducted several measures to identify a suspect, however it remains unsolved today.

“All endeavors to identify the specific vehicle have regrettably yielded no success thus far. This ongoing case remains active, with new leads being pursued as they emerge,” the sheriff’s office said.
