Juvenile intentionally started fire at North Vernon park

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A juvenile is accused of starting a fire at the North Vernon City Park. 

It happened in a bathroom at the park on Monday and investigators were able to determine that it was intentionally set 

Investigators identified the responsible person and the minor was arrested for Arson on Tuesday.

“Damage to our parks and other city property affects our entire community. We take incidents like this seriously, and those responsible will be held accountable for their actions. I’m proud of the work of our officers, deputies, and fire department personnel who worked together to quickly identify the individual responsible,” said North Vernon Police Chief Keith Messer.
