Vevay Vietnam veteran receives Quilt of Valor

(VEVAY, Ind.) – A Vevay resident is being recognized for his incredible service to the country. 

75-year-old Jack Curran served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1972. 

He completed 4 tours in Vietnam, earned two Purple Hearts and received numerous other medals, his family said.

He was part of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment and the 101st Airborne Division. 

On Tuesday, Curran was the recipient of a Quilt of Valor.

He was nominated by his daughter, Joanne, and it was given to him from the Vevay chapter of Quilts of Valor (GOV).

GOV is a nationwide foundation that makes quality, handmade quilts and provides them to veterans who have been touched by war.
