Lawrenceburg teacher wins statewide award

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg High School teacher received statewide recognition on Friday night. 

Ashley Anderson was named the Digital Innovator Excellence recipient during the Indiana Department of Education’s Educational Excellence Awards Gala in Indianapolis. 

Anderson is a social studies teacher who was honored for her unique way of bringing history to life through the use of technology.

“Ms. Anderson is an educator who truly transforms learning—bringing history to life in her classroom through meaningful technology integration and innovative instructional practices,” the Lawrenceburg School Corporation stated.

She was also described as a leader among peers who pushes the boundaries of what is possible in education.
