(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – A Brookville man is hoping to connect his mother-in-law with a liver donor.
61-year-old Laurie Elixman, of Fishers, is battling nonalcoholic cirrhosis and needs a live as soon as possible.
Nate Lake is hoping someone can be a match. He said Laurie is O+ and any O donor under 50-years-old could help save her life.
Interested in seeing if you’re a match? Visit the IU Health transplant website and click for Living Donor Donation.
“You’ll find educational resources and can begin the process by completing the confidential Living Donor Evaluation Form (please note it’s for Laurie Elixman) and A donor coordinator will reach out to answer questions and guide you through every step,” Lake said.
Lake added that Laurie is a mother of 3 children and has 4 grandchildren.
