Local basketball teams advance to Regionals

(AURORA, Ind.) – Several local teams earned a Sectional title on Saturday night. 

The Batesville Bulldogs defeated South Dearborn 48-38 to win the Sectional 29 championship. The Bulldogs will likely face Silver Creek in the Regionals next weekend. 

South Decatur traveled to Straughn, Indiana to face Tri and the Cougars brought home the Sectional 59 Championship by winning 53-42. 

Hauser came to Milan and beat the Indians 73-42 to win the Sectional 60 title. 

New Albany rolled past Seymour 73-42 to win the Sectional 15 title. 

West Washington defeated Borden 54-39 to win the Sectional 63 championship. 

Austin edged Southwestern 53-51 to win the Sectional 45 championship.
