Local donations delivered to Texas flood victims

Donation drive was organized by Osgood woman and her church

(OSGOOD, Ind.) – A donation drive locally has led to additional relief supplies in flood victims in Texas.
Osgood resident Debbie Roark saw the news of the deadly flooding in July and wanted to do something to help.
Roark is a member of Cedar Creek Community Church in Osgood and called her pastor.
The church got behind her idea and together they launched a donation drive where they collected supplies around Ripley County.
A member of her church, Keith Scheible, is an employee with StoneBridge Trucking in New Point.
The company donated a truck and fuel to deliver the products to the Kerrville, Texas area.
The trip recently too place and there 200 boxes with 45,000 items delivered, which were all donated here.
“The people of this community were incredibly giving and I was honored that they were willing to donate so much,” Roark told The 812.
