(ST. LEON, Ind.) – A local Catholic priest is hoping to share a message of hope through a new book.
Fr. Jonathan Meyer has been a member of All Saints Parish in Dearborn County since 2014.
He released his first book called ‘Stations of the Eucharist’ on March 31.
Did Fr. Meyer ever expect to become a published author? Definitely not.
“I was actually kicked out of class on my first day of English Class my junior year. This book is a huge life-stone monument for me,” Fr. Meyer told The 812.
He describes the book as deeply rooted in scripture and the goal is to challenge people to grow their relationship with Christ.
“There is a huge story in the Bible, it is the story of our salvation, and God's love for us poured out at every Mass. This book shows how every verse in the Bible points to this redeeming Love,” Fr. Meyer said.
He hopes the book shows readers that the Catholic Faith is deeply biblical, and that the love of Jesus is at the very center of everyone’s life.
Fr. Meyer said, “I want them to know they are deeply loved. I want them to know that God is not far away and distant, but that you can find Him, know Him, love Him and receive Him!”
