Madison church fire causes Tuesday night power outage

(MADISON, Ind.) – There is a power outage in Madison stemming from the church fire on Monday night.
City officials said the north wall of Trinity United Methodist Church collapsed about 24 hours after the blaze began.
“No injuries occurred, however, the collapse has caused a significant power outage in the area,” the City of Madison said.
As of 10 p.m., there are approximately 900 Duke Energy power outages in the Madison area.
The south second-floor wall of the church and a large portion of the roof collapsed on Monday night.
