(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- The United Way of Franklin and Ripley Counties is providing funds for five different nonprofit programs.
They have given out more than $17,000 which will support initiatives such as hunger, clothing and a student summer camp.
United Way of Franklin and Ripley County executive director Kelly Bulmer said this was an opportunity to create meaningful change in our area.
“Whether it is helping a child receive weekend meals, providing food for a family facing hardship, or ensuring someone has access to clothing and essential needs, these investments strengthen our entire community,” Bulmer said.
Here are the programs that are receiving funds:
$5,000 to Ripley County Community Foundation to support the Turnover Hunger Backpack program
$2,000 to Summer Food for Kids of Batesville through the Batesville United Methodist Church
$7,500 to Milan Cares Central for summer camp
$1,500 to So Loved Kids Clothing Closet to provide clothing and toiletries
$1,500 to Red Life Food pantry
United Way of Franklin and Ripley Counties is committed to creating a community where every child feels supported, every family has opportunities to thrive, and every neighbor knows they belong.
