Man jailed after pickup catches fire in Saint Omar

(GREENSBURG, Ind.)  – A person was taken to jail after a truck caught on fire in the Saint Omar area of Decatur County on Tuesday night. 

The driver of the pickup truck was allegedly driving reckless and ran over at least one stop sign and went into a ditch, which prompted a concerned citizen to call 911.

Later on, the pickup truck caught fire near County Road 650 West and U.S. 421 in the Saint Omar area and witnesses say the driver was located in a nearby field.’

The driver allegedly fought with police white being taken into custody.

The identity of the driver has not been released yet. This is a developing story and more information will be shared when it becomes available.
