Metamora Canal Days taking place this weekend

(METAMORA, Ind.) -- Metamora will be buzzing this weekend during the annual Canal Days.

It serves as Metamora's busiest weekend of the year with vendor booths set up all across town.

The unique shops and businesses will be open and there will also be train rides, demonstrations at the Grist Mill, handmade crafts and more. It's a great opportunity for visitors to find treasures and bargains.

The Grist Mill will offer free admission as it will run regularly to produce cornmeal and grits for purchase.

Metamora Canal Days has taken place on the first weekend of October for more than 50 years.
