(MILAN, Ind.) – The Milan community is nearing their fundraising goal for Fourth of July fireworks.
The Milan Fireworks Fund is a nonprofit that started in 2021 with the mission of having fireworks each Independence Day.
“We believe community celebrations play an important role in bringing families, friends, neighbors, and visitors together to create lasting memories while honoring our nation’s independence,” organizers said.
Each year, the fireworks are made possible through community members and businesses who donate.
With this year being America’s 250th anniversary, the fundraising goal was raised from $15,000 to $24,000 due to more demand for fireworks in the area.
As of Monday night, the 2026 fund has raised $22,900 of that $24,000 goal. You can access the page by clicking this link.
Milan’s firework display will take place at the town park at 10 p.m. on Friday, July 3.
