Milan native Jamie Johnson co-writes song with Dolly Parton

(NASHVILLE, TN.) – Milan native Jamie Johnson has released a song he co-wrote with Dolly Parton! 

The powerful song called ‘Broken Angels’  is about those struggling with issues of addiction and mental health. 

Johnson had the idea to write a song about recovery and decided to call Dolly Parton to help him finish it.

Johnson and The Grascals have a long history with Parton as they toured with her early in their career. 

“I have loved The Grascals as long as I can remember and the amazing Jamie Johnson is one of bluegrass music’s best vocalists,” Dolly Parton said.

She added, “He’s a great songwriter and he’s also one of my best friends!”
