Milan teacher placed on leave pending social media investigation

(MILAN, Ind.) – A Milan teacher has been placed on administrative leave as part of an ongoing investigation, the school announced Sunday. 

School officials say the investigation stems from allegations of social media misconduct involving a student.

The employee and the student are not being identified due to the alleged incident being under investigation .  

Milan Community School Corporation officials say student safety is their highest priority and they are committed to providing a secure and respectful learning environment. 

“We commend our students and parents for reporting this issue to our administration. Parents are encouraged to remind their children to report to a trusted adult,  situations that make them uncomfortable,”  the school corporation said.
