MMH to open new hospital on August 8

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Margaret Mary Health plans to open the new hospital to patients on August 8.

It was originally scheduled to open in June but there is a construction-related flooring issue that needs to be fixed. 

“We could have moved forward with our original opening date, but that would have required ongoing construction in an active patient care setting,” said Liz Leising, CEO of Margaret Mary Health. “That approach would introduce unnecessary disruption and complexity into an environment where focus should remain entirely on patient care.”

She added, “By taking the time to resolve this now, we are ensuring that when we open our doors, we do so in a space that fully supports our teams and reflects the level of care our community expects from us.”

A Community Open House will be held August 2 and additional details will be shared soon.

The new MMH hospital is located on State Road 229 near Six Pine Ranch Road between Batesville and Oldenburg.
