(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Family members of Gabby Petito will speak during an upcoming Safe Passage fundraiser in Batesville.
Petito was a 22-year-old woman who was found dead in Wyoming after going on a cross-country road trip with her fiance in 2021.
The high-profile case gripped the nation as her fiance, Brian Laundrie, was the prime suspect and later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Florida.
Gabby’s mother, Nichole Schmidt, and stepmom, Tara Petito, will be the keynote speakers during the event at Walhill Farm on Saturday, December 6.
They will speak about Gabby as well as advocate for domestic violence prevention during the event.
The 13th Annual “We Help, We Heal, We Hope” fundraiser will also include brunch, raffles and online and live auctions.
Tickets cost $65 but will increase to $75 after November 1. You can get more information and purchase tickets by clicking here.
