Could be sentenced to more than 50 years

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Moores Hill man has been found guilty of dealing meth and cocaine at his mother’s house.
49-year-old Jerole Adams was convicted Friday of Dealing in Methamphetamine, Dealing in Cocaine and Possession of a Syringe. He was also found to be a habitual offender.
Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens said Adams had been out of prison for a year when he was arrested on the charges.
In 2005, he was also convicted of selling methamphetamine near a school, she added.
“The Habitual Offender Sentencing Enhancement was enacted for a criminal defendant such as Jerole Adams. Given the charges and possible penalties he is facing, there is a strong likelihood that Adams may not see the light of day again for dealing drugs," said Deddens.
Adams could receive a prison sentence of more than 50 years. The sentencing hearing has been scheduled for October 3.
Deddens recognized law enforcement officers John Watson, Blaine Burgess and Adam Ziegler for their work on the case.
