Nationally-known band The Dillards coming to Greensburg in March

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Arts & Cultural Council of Decatur County will host a new community event on Friday, March 27. 

The inaugural Tree City Nostalgia and Classic Film Festival will feature the iconic bluegrass band The Dillards.

The group appeared as “The Darling Family” on the Andy Griffith Show and were part of some unforgettable episodes. Here is a snippet from one episode:

The band is led by Rodney Dillard who is the lead singer and last surviving original member of the group.

Rodney is one of the only active artists who is featured in three major music halls of fames.

The Dillards helped usher in two music genres to the American mainstream, bluegrass and country rock. 

It will take place at 7 p.m. at Greensburg High School and pre-sale tickets are just $12.50.
