North Decatur Jr. High girls dominate at track meet

Won the trophy at Invitational in Henry County on Wednesday

(STRAUGHN, Ind.) – North Decatur junior high athletes dominated at a track event on Wednesday night. 


The Lady Chargers won the Tri Titan Invite which took place in Henry County and involved three other schools. 


North Decatur had the top score of 71 points and the second place school, Daleville, only had 55. 


The team had several individuals who were top finishers in their heat.


Avery Weisenbach won the long jump, Kieran Lusk was first in the 200 Meters, Melanie Harp won the high jump, Chloe Kramer won shot put, and Lusk and Weisenbach finished back-to-back in the 100 meter race.


Other athletes who finished high in their respective matches include Makayla Tebbe, Lennon Hancock, Felecia Kress, Madison Smith, Hazel Rosenberger, Grace Mauer and Emily Baldwin.


The North Decatur Jr. High Girls team is coached by Breanna Morris.
