North Decatur off Friday after Edinburgh cancels season

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – North Decatur will not have a football game on Friday due to their opponent’s season being cancelled. 

Edinburgh announced Tuesday that the remainder of their season is suspended due to a limited number of players. 

“This decision was not made lightly. The safety of our student athletes continues to be our highest priority,” Edinburgh said.

Last month, Edinburgh abruptly cancelled a game against Milan for undisclosed reasons at the time. It was later reported that Edinburgh was dealing with a harassment complaint. 

Edinburgh is also in Sectional 47 which includes North Decatur, South Decatur, Milan, Knightstown, Eastern Greene, Greenwood Christian Academy and West Washington. 

There is no word on how Edinburgh’s season cancellation will effect pairings.
