North Vernon teen killed in crash

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A North Vernon teenager was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Spencer Township on Thursday morning. 

Investigators say 18-year-old Austin Luedeman lost control of his pickup, overcorrected, crossed the roadway and rolled over multiple times. 

Luedeman sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. 

Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were contributing factors to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Jennings County EMS, Jennings County Dispatch, Spencer Township Fire Department, Jennings County Corners Office and Lucas Wrecker Service.
