(SOUTHEAST INDIANA) – Southeast Indiana residents should have another opportunity to view the northern lights on Wednesday evening.
The aurora borealis is viewable in our area this week due a solar flare that came off the sun a few days ago.
The best time to see them tonight will likely be after 7 p.m. and possibly until midnight.
One benefit to living in our area is that isn’t too hard to get out of the city lights and into the country. Finding a place with not much light gives you a better chance of viewing the rare sight.
Other tips are to look north with a clear view of the horizon and to put your phone camera on night mode.
