(OLDENBURG, Ind.) – A lifelong Oldenburg resident and World War II veteran has passed away.
Larry was just 17-years-old when he signed up for the Navy. He wanted to be part of the fight.
It wasn’t long after that when Larry found himself on a ship in the South Pacific.
He survived World War II before he even turned 21-years-old.
Larry spent the rest of his life giving back to community while taking pride in the family he created.
We will be sharing his stories on The 812 all day today!
