Police ID victim of fatal house fire in Rush County

(ARLINGTON, Ind.) – One person died in a house fire in Rush County on Sunday.
Eight fire departments responded to the house fire which occurred around 4 a.m. in Arlington.
“It was reported that an adult was still inside the residence, and upon fire personnel arrival they discovered a fully engulfed residence,” said Rush County Sheriff Allan Rice.
77-year-old Tanya Vanosdol was identified as the victim on Monday night.
Investigators with the Indiana State Fire Marshal Office and the Rush County Sheriff's Department are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Agencies that responded included Posey Township Fire Department, Carthage Volunteer Fire Department, Raleigh Volunteer Fire Department, Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department, Manilla Volunteer Fire Department, Rushville Township Volunteer Fire Department, Rushville Fire Department and the Morristown Fire Department.
