(VEVAY, Ind.) – A Vevay resident was honored as the Hometown Hero at the Cincinnati Reds game on Thursday.
Jeremy “Scott” Curlin joined the Air Force shortly after graduating from Switzerland County High School in 1995.
Curlin served as an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist where he worked on aircraft such as the F-15.
He served deployments in both Afghanistan and Qatar and earned the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring after 20 years in 2015.
He earned numerous awards including the Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, an Air Force Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and a Joint Meritorious Unit Award.
Scott was honored during the second inning of the Reds game against the Marlins and received a standing ovation at Great American Ball Park.
