(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – People who were shopping at Batesville Kroger or at Toro’s Restaurant may have seen quite the sight on Saturday evening.
Around 6:45 p.m., a police pursuit that began on I-74 came into Batesville.
One witness, who was walking into Toro’s, told The 812 that they saw the chase go toward Oldenburg but somehow got turned around.
“Next thing we know it went through the Dollar General parking lot, then through the FCN Bank parking lot and we thought it might end up hitting us, but then it turned past Advanced Auto Parts,” the witness said.
The witness added there were several police cars that were right behind the vehicle.
The chase came to an end in the parking lot of the Best Western hotel.
The vehicle had an Ohio license plate and it is believed that one male and one female were taken into custody. Their identities are not currently known.
Fortunately, it does not appear anybody was hurt during the incident.
This is a developing story and will be updated when more information is made available.
