Portion of S.R. 156 to be closed between Patriot and Rising Sun

Work is expected to begin in early March

(RISING SUN, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation will close a portion of State Road 156 between Rising Sun and Patriot. 

The closure is expected to begin on March 5 and last until mid-May. It will take place just west of Evans Hill Road in Switzerland County. 

INDOT contractor Paul Rohe will be conducting a slide correction project and the official detour will be follow State Road 56. 

Additional work will take place on S.R. 156 between Rising Sun and Patriot following the completion of this project. 

This project is part of a $13.8 million contract awarded to Paul H. Rohe in May 2023.
