Recycling center helps N.H. woman find lost engagement ring

Story reported by WMUR

(WALPOLE, NH.) – A recycling center in New Hampshire went above-and-beyond to help a woman find her engagement ring.

Leanne Hettinger lost her ring after it accidentally ended up in the trash.

She called the recycling center and the on-duty attendant didn’t take her request lightly.

He went through piles of garbage and was able to locate the ring and return it to Hettinger.

The attendant is a former Marine who said he used to go on ‘foreign object damage walks’ at the airport in case something got lost, as it could end up getting into the intake of an airplane.

“I was really good at finding things,” he told WMUR.
