Rep. Houchin reacts to strikes against Iran

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Congresswoman Erin Houchin is reacting after the U.S. initiated strikes against Iran on Saturday morning. 

The United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes early Saturday targeting sites tied to Iran’s leadership and military infrastructure.

Rep. Houchin said the military action comes after the Iranian regime has spent decades fueling terror and threatening American interests. 

“President Trump understands that peace comes through strength. He has rebuilt our military, applied economic pressure, and exhausted diplomacy before acting,” she said. 

Rep. Houchin added, “America cannot allow Iran to destabilize the region or advance its nuclear ambitions. I trust the President’s leadership and pray for our troops and their families. May God protect them and bring lasting peace.”

President Trump has described the operation as “massive and ongoing” as Iran has launched retaliatory strikes toward Israel and U.S. assets in the region.
