(OLDENBURG, Ind.) – A reunion is being planned for families who attended St. Anne Catholic Church in Hamburg.
There have been three churches in Hamburg. The first was destroyed by fire and the second was demolished by the 1974 tornado.
The third church was consolidated in 2013 and the parish community is now connected to Holy Family in Oldenburg.
Families who attended St. Anne are encouraged to go to a Mass and reunion on Sunday, August 2.
It will be held at 10 a.m. Holy Family Church with lunch to follow in the church cafeteria.
“Join us for an afternoon of prayer, community, food and shared memories as we gather one week after the Feast of St. Anne,” organizers said.
Attendees are asked to bring a dish as well as photos of the churches and life in Hamburg years ago.
