(MASON, OH.) – The Cincinnati Open returns this week and visitors will have their first chance to see the upgraded campus.
The Lindner Family Tennis Center has undergone a $260M transformation that doubled the campus acreage and has added 31 outdoor tennis courts, a six-court indoor facility, pickleball and padel courts.
A ribbon cutting was held just ahead of the Cincinnati Open which begins Tuesday.
Some players that took part in the ribbon cutting included Andre Agassi, Sloane Stephens, Stefani Graf, Bob and Mike Bryan, and current World No. 1 Jannik Sinner.
“Tennis might be an individual sport, but this was truly a team effort. We are excited to welcome our fans and players back to enjoy all the new amenities over the next two weeks and beyond as this venue serves as the center of racquet sports in the Midwest,” officials said.
The Cincinnati Open features the world’s top men’s and women’s tennis players and is the third largest tennis event in the United States, behind the U.S. Open and the Indian Wells Masters.
The 812 will be covering the Open and plans to bring some behind-the-scenes content as well as player interviews.
