(YELLOWSTONE, WY.) – Several Ripley County teenagers are currently on a one-of-a-kind vacation out west.
The nonprofit group ‘Youth to Yellowstone of Ripley County’ gives local students the chance to go on a 12-day journey every summer.
It is made possible entirely by donations and the teenagers attend at no cost and are also given cameras to document their experiences.
The students and chaperones left Batesville on July 5 and have been in and around Yellowstone National Park for several days.
They have visited Grand Teton National Park, Lamar Valley, Old Faithful and other sites as well. They will return back home this week.
The nonprofit typically looks for Ripley County students who haven’t had the opportunity to go on many vacations. You can learn more and donate to the organization here.
