Rising Sun's Merry Little Christmas Celebration rescheduled

ree

(RISING SUN, Ind.) – Ohio County Tourism has rescheduled the Merry Little Christmas Celebration that was supposed to take place Saturday.

It wil now be held on December 20 and will still be held at the Visitor Center at North High Street in Rising Sun.

“The weather forecast is looking ‘frightful’. We didn’t want to put our vendors, guests, board members  and staff in harm’s way by trying to host the event on its original date,” said Kendal Miller, executive  director of Ohio County Tourism.

Along with the annual Santa visit, Miller said that Ohio County Tourism will provide free carriage rides,  the Boots & Mini Moo’s, arts & crafts vendors, and free hot chocolate & sugar cookies while supplies  last. A food truck will also be on hand for guests to purchase dinner.

The Merry Little Christmas Celebration festivities begin at 5 p.m. when Santa arrives at the festively decorated Visitors Center. He’ll be available to visit with guests until 7 p.m.
