Rising Sun to dedicate new memorial on July 4

(RISING SUN) – A memorial recognizing America’s Semiquincentennial will be dedicated in Rising Sun. 

The Ohio County Historical Society will recognize the 250th anniversary with a new memorial near the Veteran’s Memorial on Front Street. 

Rising Sun Masonic Lodge No. 6 and local Cub Scouts will be in attendance.

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 4. 

“We invite the public to share this special moment,” organizers said.
