Severe weather possible this afternoon, evening

(ST. LEON, Ind.) – Severe weather is possible in Southeast Indiana on Thursday afternoon and evening.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move through the area with the chance of large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.
A Tornado Watch is in effect for Decatur, Franklin, Ripley, Jennings, Bartholomew and other counties in southern Indiana until 9 p.m. Wednesday
While most of Southeast Indiana is under a slight risk of tornadic activity, the Storm Prediction Center has listed areas such as Greensburg and North Vernon under an enhanced risk.
“This tornado today is still conditional. We have limited this p.m. for the best instability. It’s not a slam dunk risk,” said Chris Phillips with Weather Pulse.
Friday’s forecast will have temperatures in the high-40’s with wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour.
