Sioux Falls cafe also serving up cat adoptions

More than 400 cat adoptions since it opened

(SIOUX FALLS, SD.) – There is a cafe in South Dakota that combines coffee….and cats.

The Catitude Cafe in Sioux Falls first opened in 2023 by Heather Wendlandt who has a love for cats and the community. 

She partnered with a local humane society and there are dozens of cats inside a room at the cafe at ay given time.

The cats are adoptable and there have been more than 400 adoptions since the cafe opened.

Patrons can enjoy a mix of coffee drinks as well as some treats such as cupcakes, cookies and sandwiches as well.

The cafe used to have a kitchen area but that is changing in the near future. 

“We're excited to announce that we are saying goodbye to our food service and converting our kitchen area into more space for the adoptable kitties,” Wendlandt said. 

She is selling off kitchen appliances as the small business has realized what draws people in, are the adoptable cats.
