(RISING SUN, Ind.) – The first of two accumulating snow systems are moving into the area on Thursday afternoon.
National Weather Service forecasters predict our area could see snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches by Friday. Some areas might see higher totals.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Southeast Indiana from 7 p.m. tonight until 10 a.m. Friday.
Drivers should expect slippery road conditions both tonight as well as tomorrow.
Another winter system will move in Saturday afternoon and evening which will likely lead to additional accumulation.
That system will also bring a push of arctic air with temperatures in the single digits if not lower through Sunday morning.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to be back in the 40’s by Wednesday.
