(FORT CAMPBELL, KY.) – The family of an Army soldier with ties to Lawrenceburg are desperately hoping to find him safe.
28-year-old Gavin McClanahan is stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky and was last seen on the base on Thursday afternoon, his mother, Maria Gomez, said.
Gavin left his military identification and cell phones at his Fort Campbell apartment, she added.
However, Gavin and his truck are both missing from Fort Campbell.
Gomez said she is unsure of what direction he may have traveled from the base.
The vehicle is believed to be a black 2000’s Chevy S10 single-cab with big tires.
McClanahan grew up in Dearborn County and is a 2015 graduate of Lawrenceburg High School.
The last time he was in our area was this past Christmas to visit family, his mother said.
Gomez currently lives in South Carolina and is encouraging anyone to contact her if they have information. You can message her by clicking here.
“Gavin is not in trouble. I just want him to know he is loved. We are hoping he has a moment of clarity so we can get him the help he desperately needs,” she said.
You can also contact local law enforcement if you have any information.
