28-year-old has been charged with murder

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A son is accused of shooting and killing his father at a Decatur County home.
The investigation began after 50-year-old Joshua Mark Taylor was found deceased at a home on South County Road 60 Southwest earlier this week.
Decatur County deputies were called to the home around midnight on Tuesday to conduct a welfare check when police say they encountered 28-year-old Wyatt Taylor.
Police say Wyatt initially said Josh was asleep inside the house. The deputies left but later returned when a relative urged them to speak to Josh.
According to court documents, Wyatt eventually allowed the deputies inside the home where the body of Josh Taylor was discovered in a bedroom.
Police say a search of the home resulted in them finding multiple guns and spent bullet casings.
“We recovered numerous spent bullets of the same apparent caliber as the spent casings in the bedding and wall behind where decedent was lying in bed,” according to the probable cause affidavit.
Court documents show that Wyatt allegedly told investigators that he recently moved home from Utah and was afraid for his life at the house.
Wyatt Taylor was charged with murder on Thursday.
