Special Olympics firetruck pull in Lawrenceburg on Saturday

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The annual Special Olympics - Ripley, Ohio, Dearborn (ROD) Fire Truck Pull will take place at Lawrenceburg Civic Park on Saturday, August 8. 

The event features teams of 10 people who try to pull a Lawrenceburg firetruck 50 feet in the shortest amount of time. 

Each team raises a minimum of $750 and all proceeds go to Special Olympics ROD, to help local athletes with intellectual disabilities compete in local and state-level sports. 

The event will begin at 11 a.m. and will also feature a kiddie pull prior to the competition starting at 2 p.m.
