St. Nicholas to install third AED on campus

(SUNMAN, Ind.) – The survival rate for cardiac arrests that happen outside of the hospital is less than 6 percent, according to the American Red Cross.
Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are portable devices that can help save the life of a person experiencing cardiac arrest.
St. Nicholas already has one AED inside the school and another AED inside the church.
They applied for a grant through the Ripley County Health Department to add a third AED inside the new gymnasium once it's completed.
The grant was awarded and the AED will be available when the gymnasium opens.
