State Road 56 in Ohio County project delayed until January

(AURORA, Ind.) –The closure of State Road 56 in Ohio County is being delayed until the new year. 

The road was expected to close Friday for a culvert replacement project between Hartford Pike and Old State Road 56. 

INDOT has announced that the work will be postponed until January. 

The work is expected to take around three days to complete and the official detour is U.S. 50 to S.R. 262 back to S.R. 56.

This project is part of a contract awarded to 5 Star in September.
