State Road 56 in Ohio County to close on Friday

(AURORA, Ind.) – State Road 56 in Ohio County will be closed this coming weekend. 

An INDOT contracted crew will complete a culvert replacement project between Hartford Pike and Old State Road 56. 

The work is expected to begin on Friday and will take about three days to complete. 

During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows U.S. 50 to S.R. 262 back to S.R. 56.

This project is part of a contract awarded to 5 Star in September.
