(METAMORA, Ind.) -- Were you affected by last week’s storms or flooding?
The State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) enables qualified residents to receive up to $5,000 for immediate needs.
Only residents who are uninsured, or underinsured (e.g. your insurance policy only covers $25,000 of a total $30,000 worth of damage) are eligible.
“Any resident who needs assistance completing forms for the State Disaster Relief Form, Damage Reporting form, or any other forms can go to the Laurel Library,” the Franklin County EMA stated.
Access the SDRF application by clicking this link.
Affected property owners are also asked to report damage to Indiana 211.
Property owners with flood damage
Property owners who sustained significant damage from the flooding may file Form 137R through the Franklin County Assessor's Office.
“This form requests that our office review the damage and determine whether the property should be reassessed to reflect its condition following the disaster,” Franklin County EMA officials said.
Filing Form 137R does not automatically result in a change in assessed value. Each property will be reviewed based on its individual circumstances.
If you have any questions, please reach out directly to the Franklin County Assessor's Office at 765 647-4921 or assessor@franklincounty.in.gov.
