(SUNMAN, Ind.) – An inaugural dart tournament raised $10,000 for a local PTSD organization.
The Sunman American Legion hosted their first PTSD tournament in June and the proceeds were given to the Cody Farr Memorial Organization on Wednesday.
20-year-old Cody Farr was a Rising Sun native who served in the Navy during Operation Inherent Resolve. Cody took his own life just a few before he would have turned 21.
The Cody Farr Memorial organization provides veterans and first responders who are suffering with a trained K-9 to meet the handlers specific needs.
“Thank you to the darters and folks that showed up to participate whether it was to throw darts ,buy raffle tickets, or just simply to hang out and simply support this great cause,” organizers said.
The Legion plans to host this event again and you can learn more about the Cody Farr organization by clicking here.
