(VEVAY, Ind.) – The Switzerland County Emergency Management Agency is getting more equipment that can be used for water rescues.
The agency was awarded nearly $9,000 from the Switzerland County Community Foundation to purchase the equipment.
It includes two rescue boards, two sling, four rapid rescue life vests, water rescue suits and other equipment that can be used during an emergency on water or ice.
This is the second consecutive year that Switzerland County EMA has received a grant to improve their water rescue capabilities.
Last year they received a $4,000 grant from Duke Energy and you can read that story here.
