Switzerland Co.'s Richards finishes fourth at IHSAA State Wrestling Championship

Columbus North wrestler finishes seventh

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The wrestling season has come to an end with two local athletes finishing among the best in the state. 

Switzerland County’s Peyton Richards finished fourth overall in the 138 pound weight class. 

Richards is the first Switzerland County wrestler to qualify for state in school history.

Columbus North wrestler Justice Thornton, who lives in Greensburg, finished seventh in the 138 pound weight class. 

There were seven wrestlers who qualified for the IHSAA Wrestling State Championship which was held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
